About GLZD

What is body glaze?

A water-free body product that lives between lotion and body oil. It moisturizes like a lotion, finishes like an oil, and absorbs faster than either. Built on plant-derived oils, beeswax, and mango butter — designed to give your skin a subtle glisten, not a greasy shine.

Who is GLZD made for?

Men who care how they show up. You don't have to be in the gym five days a week or chasing a skincare routine. If you want skin that looks taken care of and a scent that lingers in the right way, GLZD is built for you.

Who founded GLZD?

Mikey Moran. 14 years building beauty products, 20 years in e-commerce. He spent most of his career building products for women, then got tired of borrowing his girlfriend's lotion and built one for himself. Read the full story.

Where is GLZD based?

Atlanta, Georgia. Formulated and made in the USA. Distributed from our Atlanta warehouse — no overseas shipping, no two-week timelines.

Is GLZD only for men?

GLZD is positioned for men, but the formula works on any skin. The scents lean masculine — leather, smoke, salt, woods, citrus — but if you like the way it smells and feels, wear it. We're not checking IDs.

The Formula

What's in GLZD?

Eight ingredients: babassu oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, jojoba oil, squalane, beeswax, mango seed butter, and vitamin E. Plus fragrance. The full INCI list is on every product page.

What's NOT in GLZD?

No water. No parabens. No dyes. No mica. No fillers. No synthetic preservatives. The formula is water-free, which means it's pure active product — not 70% diluted like most lotions on the shelf.

Why is GLZD water-free?

Water dilutes the formula and forces brands to add preservatives to stop bacteria from growing. We skipped the water entirely. What you get is a denser, more concentrated product where every ingredient is doing real work — and no synthetic preservatives needed.

Is GLZD safe for sensitive skin?

The base formula is plant-led, fragrance is the only synthetic component, and we avoided common irritants like parabens, dyes, and mica. That said, if you have known fragrance sensitivities or chronic skin conditions, patch-test on your inner forearm before full use, or consult your dermatologist.

Will GLZD stain my clothes?

No. GLZD absorbs in seconds and dries down to a soft finish — not a wet or greasy one. Once it's set on your skin, you can dress like normal.

Is GLZD vegan? Cruelty-free?

GLZD contains beeswax, so it isn't vegan. It is cruelty-free — we don't test on animals and neither do our suppliers.

Does GLZD have an expiration date?

GLZD uses a 12M Period After Opening symbol, which means once you open the jar it's good for 12 months. Unopened, the shelf life is longer. Each jar is batch-coded with a LOT number for traceability.

How to Use

How do I apply GLZD?

Scoop a small amount with your fingers, warm it between your palms for two seconds, and glaze it onto dry skin. Start with less than you think you need — it goes further than lotion. Focus on arms, chest, shoulders, and anywhere you want scent and finish.

When should I apply it?

After your shower, on dry skin. Towel off, give your skin 30 seconds to fully dry, then apply. The formula absorbs faster on clean, dry skin than on damp skin.

How long does the scent last?

The scent develops over the first 30 minutes and stays close to the skin for several hours. It's designed to be a personal scent — close enough that someone has to lean in, not loud enough to fill a room. If you want stronger projection, layer with cologne.

Can I layer GLZD with cologne?

Yes — and we recommend it for nighttime or special occasions. Apply GLZD first, let it absorb for two minutes, then apply cologne to your usual pulse points. The body glaze becomes the base note that holds the cologne longer.

How much should I use?

Less than you think. A scoop the size of a grape covers arms, chest, and shoulders. The formula is concentrated — over-applying makes it feel heavier than it should.

How long will one jar last?

Daily use, full upper body: roughly 8 to 10 weeks per 7.7 oz jar. If you use it less frequently or only on specific moments — date night, post-gym — it'll last several months.

Can I use GLZD on my face?

GLZD is formulated for the body — neck down. The scent and texture aren't designed for facial use.

Good to Know

Can I fly with GLZD?

Pack it in your checked bag. Each jar is 7.7 fl oz (227 mL) — above the 3.4 oz (100 mL) limit for carry-ons, so airport security won't let a jar this size through the checkpoint. It rides just fine in checked luggage.
